Recently the robotics team competed in the first of two district-level For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) Robotics Competitions at Reading High School.
The team won the prestigious Engineering Inspiration Award for its outreach in the community and schools. This is one of the highest awards available in FRC, securing a chance to compete for the Engineering Inspiration Award at the District Championship in Springfield.
The following weekend, the team competed at the Greater Boston event at Revere High School, the second major event.
They had a great time and won the creativity award for their unique robot design. The team now looks forward to the trip to Springfield for the district championship.
